Students Make this Prize Work

The Brain Healthy Campus Collaborative believes in the power of students to make meaningful and lasting contributions.

Where to Start

Is the prize already at your school?

Already on Your Campus

Form a team of up to four students and submit your proposal through your campus’s existing program.

Not Yet on Your Campus?

Students can bring the Prize to their campus by finding a campus administrator willing to sponsor it.

Once a sponsor has been found, the Brain Healthy Collaborative will work with you and your sponsor to integrate the Prize on your campus. They’ll need your help getting your peers involved.

What you Gain

  • $1,000 local prize travel stipend (RADical Hope, Pending) — awarded at the campus round, to support travel to the national competition

  • $2,500 stipend — for you and your team. Yours to keep

  • $2,500 implementation funding — to build your initiative on your campus

  • $1,000 local prize travel stipend — awarded at the campus round, on top of the national prize

  • Mentorship — the Brain Healthy Campus Collaborative will work with your campus to identify mentors who can support you in implementing your idea.

  • A certificate and real project experience for your resume — documentation of a research-to-implementation project, fully completed in one academic year.
    Certificate and LinkedIn badge included.

  • National recognition — visibility for your team and your campus through the Brain Healthy Campus Collaborative network

Want to Go Further?

Start a Chapter

Starting a chapter isn't required to compete for the Prize, but it's the best way to build something that outlasts one team or one year. BrainHealth Champions is a national student organization dedicated to helping students thrive academically, emotionally and socially through practical brain health strategies. Chapters help students promote a brain-healthy campus culture, lead peer education initiatives, connect neuroscience to everyday behaviors that support student success, and take part in BrainHealth Week

Built-In Awareness

A chapter keeps the Prize visible on campus year-round, separate from any one entry, educating students on the year's topic and extending the opportunity to students who might not otherwise hear about it.

A Consistent Point of Contact

Your administrative sponsor can better support brain-healthy campus initiatives on campus through one ongoing point of contact with the chapter.

Further Support a Brain Healthy Campus

A chapter extends brain health beyond the Prize itself, giving your campus a standing group ready to support other Brain Healthy Campus Collaborative initiatives.

Now Is Your Time to Make a Change

We believe students have the potential to create real, lasting changes on their campus. That’s exactly why the Brain Health Prize is built around implementation. Campuses across the nation need the ingenuity and innovation that only students can provide. This is your chance to make it happen.
